Looking at my current and recently completed books on Goodreads (yeah, I know, but it's easier than the handwritten notebook of titles and dates I used to keep), I'm seeing fiction and nonfiction by Jen Larson, Claire Dederer, Kate Atkinson, Julia Langbein, Olivia Laing, Xóchitl Gonzalez, Jennet Conant, Rachel Kushner, Katherine Rye Jewell, Jackie Wullschläger, Susanna Clarke, Kelly Bishop, Sloane Crosley, Kristi Coulter, Naomi Klein, Nicole Flattery, Audrey Golden...

I mean, the first book I ever loved was Harriet the Spy by Louise Fitzhugh. It makes no sense that I *wouldn't* read books by women, any more than not listening to music by women, or watching movies or TV shows with women in them.
